Throughout all industrial sectors the risk of fire and subsequent cost in both human and economic terms is an issue that has become a high priority.Increasingly organisations are considering not only the FR properties of construction materials and fixtures, but also those consumable items such as temporary protection used during work activity. In response to this need a decision was made during the development process that all cover guard® products would be flame retardant and be tested and approved by recognised international bodies. cover guard® reduces the risk imposed by non flame retardant temporary protection applied horizontally and vertically during work and, during a fire situation it will not combust. It has been designed to protect any interior or exterior surface against damage during construction and work activity. Hardwearing: Dependant on grade selected, surfaces can be protected from foot and wheeled traffic for between a few days and several months. Impact Resistance: Dependant on grade coverguard® will protect surfaces from impact damage and can help cushion objects being dropped. Puncture Resistant: a special additive that improves puncture resistance compared to paper, cardboard and comparable polyethelene products. Clean cutting: Cutting does not produce dust, debris or chippings that could contaminate the surfaces to be protected or surfaces awaiting protection. Low-slip: All materials have been designed with low slip surfaces to reduce this potential hazard during work activity. Anti-Trip: Being a lay-flat product, and by overlapping and taping joints and edges, minimises the trip hazard often associated with other forms of protection. UV Resistant: The cover guard® formulation includes UV inhibitors to reduce the effect of light degradation on material used in exterior applications. Anti-Static: During manufacture an additional process reduces static charge to a minimum.
